What is Tapping or Emotional Freedom Technique?

Emotional Freedom Technique (tapping) is an acupressure technique.   Our clients gently tap on acupressure points located on the meridian lines of their body. A skilled practitioner guides them with their phrasing and using a variety of techniques, they stimulate the energy flow and release blocks as they go.

I am still astounded by the freedom people feel once their energetic and emotional blocks have been released.

You don’t forget and you can’t delete parts of your life, but you do have a sense of freedom around events and memories allowing you to accept, learn and move on.

Tapping can release emotion around illness, injury and disabilities, making these things easier to deal with and often facilitating healing and coping skills.

Tapping can feel a bit awkward at first, however it doesn’t take long to get the hang of it. It is a very forgiving process and can be modified and personalised for anybody.

How Does it Work?

The cause of all negative emotion is a disruption in the body’s energy system.

When we are upset these feelings change our energy, and we feel sluggish and start to experience negative emotions, left long enough these may impact on our bodies and our minds. Our bodies start to reflect the way we feel.

Working with EFT begins to change the way you feel about any upsetting experiences you have now or have had in the past.

As you tap, the words come out easily and there is a release of feelings and tension that you may have been manifesting in your body for either a short or long time. This allows you to shift your focus from these upsets onto moving forward with your life.

This method is very effective and powerful.

I have seen it clear the things people have been holding onto, to expel their emotions thereby freeing their minds and bodies from their problems.

Have you ever looked at somebody and thought ‘Wow, they are carrying a heavy load around’? The truth is that, emotionally, they probably are. EFT would be very effective in helping them release their emotions and in doing so ‘lighten their load’.

Or “Wow, that person really has a chip on their shoulder”. EFT could help them to identify why they respond the way they do, which emotions are governing them and enable them to release these emotions and let go of their ‘chip’.
